Hair


Hair is not just as protective headgear. Hair is a member of the body that need the nutrients, grow and thrive. Hair occurs in various chemical processes. Hair is strongly influenced by the condition of the body and the environment.
Each strand of hair that grows on the head has a shape, anatomy, and the growth phase of its existence. While it may seem trivial and simple look.
Hair cells consists of a strong, elastic protein called creatine. From the standpoint of hair chemistry consists of various elements. For example, iron, nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon sulfuric acid, phosphorus and oxygen.
Each hair shaft grows from a sac-like portion contained in the skin and scalp called hair root (papilla). Base of the hair is called papilledema hair is the liaison with the blood vessels that carry nutrients to the hair to grow and change a new hair.
Appropriate system of growth, new cells grow in papil hair. Therefore, the hair will be formed according to its kind, straight, curly or wavy. It depends on the shape of the hair itself.
Hair layers
Hair has three layers, namely:
a. The outermost layer is called the cuticle hair (cuticle). The cuticle is composed of cells karatin the flat. This layer has an important role, because the charge of maintaining the growth of the hair shaft. Therefore, if the cells are treated less rusty bail then the hair becomes weak and cracked. The damage caused by the use of cosmetics that contain harsh chemicals or low-quality cosmetics. Further conditions will cause the cells in this layer karatin broken and detached.
b. Hair cortex layer (cortex). Cortex is the second layer. This layer is responsible for managing the hair shaft shape. Especially characters like the way hair grows, the strength, and endurance. This layer also determines the color of the hair, because it contains a variety of natural hair pigment. For example black, brown, yellow and red. Hair color is determined by the dominant color pigments. Jet black hair has a dominant black and brown pigment. Dominant blonde hair has a yellow and red pigments.
c. Layer of hair medulla (medulla). This layer is the core of keratohyalin grains are soft. Sometimes this layer is not present in some types of hair. But it had no effect on hair.
